revamping an old mirror.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. If you have the imagination you can really create something out of nothing. I needed a mirror for my guest bedroom but I was not willing to pay allot of money for one in the store. I came across this old picture frame and decided that it would be perfect.  so i started to revamp it a little and add a personal touch.
What you will need:
  • large frame of you're choice
  • mirror to fit inside the frame
  • sandpaper
  • universal undercoat
  • colour spray paint
  • decorations

First you use the sandpaper to remove any old paint or varnish. Then you paint the frame with the universal undercoat and let it dry.

When you're undercoat is dry the fun begins. Spray paint the frame with you're desired colour. As soon as the spray paint is dry secure you're mirror with some mirror silicone and let it dry over night. As soon as its dry you can start decorating. I used coloured lace on the inside off my frame.

If you still feel that youre mirror is lacking some personality you can add some decoration on the frame itself. You can use knitted flowers, buttons, ribbon or even vynil cut outs.

Nou youre mirror is ready for hanging. Stay pretty.
